In 2017 the National Galleries of Scotland curated a magnificent exhibition of one of Scotland’s most popular 20th century artists, Joan Eardley. The exhibition was titled "A Sense of Place" highlighting Eardley’s passion for painting the same views over and over of the landscape around her cottage in Catterline. When curating our first collection for Rocke, launched at The Scottish Interiors Showcase 2018 it made it seemed fitting to filter these images through my fabric selections and to develop a range that echoed these memories to evoke a sense of place.
